Let the festivities begin!  A well-stocked bar cart is the key to holiday hosting.  Start with good glassware (try vintage cut cranberry glass) and add touches of silver and blue-and-white vessels.  Then top it off with seasonal flowers and classic garland (bonus points if you can incorporate lemons, a true bar staple).  Liquor bottles are their own art form these days so be selective and choose spirits with interesting packing like this stunning cut-glass bottle from Solento Tequila.  As long as the music is festive, the conversation is delightful and the cocktails are flowing it won't matter that you could only find one bag of skinny-pop to serve, the guests will be merry and all will be bright.  Cheers!

It's BACK TO SCHOOL week!!!!  It's hard to type while grinning ear to ear but we'll try.  Summer is magical but we are looking forward to getting back to a routine and watching our kids tootle off to the grounds of higher learning.  The best part for them is all the new supplies and getting organized for the work-load to come.  A tidy desk and great storage solutions will help keep them focused.  We love this boy's space with its combination of antiques and little boy treasures.  Truly a room that will grow with him.

Happy shopping and happy back to school!!

The French-Farmhouse kitchen that started it all (for us).  Not a day goes by that we aren't asked about this kitchen.  We've told the story before but will gladly share it again.  This gorgeous kitchen was part of the 2017 Lake Forest Showhouse which we were asked to participate in.  We had just launched our business and were giddy to have been asked.  We were hoping to get a small, out-of-the-way space like a broom closet but we were asked to work with the kitchen... the KITCHEN!  As well as a small sitting room and office.  Truly one of those "say yes even though you should say no moments".  The upside was the kitchen's bones were perfection.  Gorgeously remodeled by the homeowner every detail was dreamy and we were simply obligated to bring it life, make it shine.  We did some painting, some styling, some serious zhushing and the space really did come alive.

Thanks to all the great sharers on social media this pic has become pretty popular and we've been contacted by people all over the world to share details.  We wish we could share more but we would love to help you achieve the look. Classic and timeless these pieces will make your kitchen shine as well.  Happy shopping!

Open doors, linen couches, sailboat prints and sisal rugs, if this mix doesn't sing summer than we don't know what does.  This Hamptons livingroom, with its inviting vibe, remains one of our favorites probably because it brings back memories of long easy days where reading a book or chatting with friends was the only thing on the agenda.  Like a summer romance, this room will always bring a smile to our face.

This room makes us want to be a kid again!  This little client wanted a "rainbow room" so we  gladly gave her one.  Grounding the space with black and white buffalo check let us go crazy with color, from the turquoise grass cloth walls to the bright yellow settee, it's a magical, colorful world for this lucky kiddo.

What's not to love about a pink couch?  Throw in some Ikat, some Suzani and some animal print and you've got yourself a surprisingly serene space.  And since almost no room is complete without blue and white we added a bunch of that into the mix as well.  This pattern-play room is grounded by natural grass cloth walls and soft linen drapes.

This week's look is one of our most asked about spaces so what a great way to kick-start our Shop The Look feature than with this timeless vignette.  In this design a one-of-a-kind hand painted mural sets the tone for a traditional yet updated dining room.  The client's lovely antiques and a collection of new accessories round out the look.
